Experience
Senior Climate Adaptation Finance Specialist
Jun 2025 — Present · Nairobi County, KE
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop financing mechanisms for climate adaptation. • Provide technical expertise and guidance to stakeholders in mobilizing finance for adaptation activities. • Support project developers and governments in accessing funds for climate resilience initiatives. I am currently leading the GCA Adaptation Finance team efforts, through the Africa Business Adaptation Platform (ABAP), in engaging external partners and participants to identify and strategize around key drivers of private sector finance and its relationship with climate adaptation finance. As part of the Adaptation Finance program, GCA has partnered with the World Economic Forum to launch the ABAP, which serves as a private sector window with the goal of translating $5 billion USD, mobilized by the into tangible climate adaptation innovations, technologies, policies, and services, building resilience and fostering sustainable growth. With a strategy based on unlocking investment from businesses, the initiative is driving solution-oriented engagement with forward-thinking partners from commercial investors, financial institutions, corporates, and multilateral and philanthropic funders, complemented by the Adaptation & Resilience Leaders initiative launched by GCA and the Forum at Davos 2025. The Platform is focused on adaptation priorities for Africa, including agriculture and infrastructure, and align closely with related investment programs and initiatives under the and the Forum’s Africa Food Innovation Hubs.
