About Hansi Liao

Hansi Liao was born in Wuhan, China, and currently resides in Brooklyn, New York. She earned her B.A. in psychology from the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) in 2013 and furthered her education with a master\'s degree in visual arts administration from New York University in 2016.With over 10 years of professional experience in the field, Hansi has held positions at esteemed institutions such as the Whitney Museum of American Art, David Zwirner Gallery, and the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs among others. As a native Chinese, she is deeply invested in the Chinese diaspora and remains active in New York\'s local culture scene.In 2017, Hansi joined Pace Gallery and is currently a Director at its New York headquarter. She works with renowned artists such as Yoshitomo Nara, Lee Ufan, Torkwase Dyson, Tim Eitel, Li Songsong, and Zhang Huan.

   Acts as a liaison for select artists including Yoshitomo Nara, Lee Ufan, Torkwase Dyson, Tim Eitel, Li Songsong, Wang Guangle, Mao Yan, Song Dong, Zhang Xiaogang, Yinxiuzhen among others and provides comprehensive artist management and development to the artists and their studios. • Cultivates and maintains important museum, foundation and collector relationships.• Oversees implementations of exhibitions across all Pace locations (New York, Hong Kong, Seoul, London, Geneva, Los Angeles, East Hampton, etc.) through efficient communication with artist studios and gallery departments including Communications, Exhibitions, Design, Research and Archive, Shipping and Registration. • Manages major artwork production and conservation projects with fabricators, domestic and international; maintains critical vendor relationships and achives cost effective solutions.• Supervises large-scale museum projects for select Gallery artists at institutions including Guggenheim Bilbao; the Long Museum, Shanghai; Albertina Museum, Vienna; Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Gardens, Washington, DC; the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Los Angeles; Art Gallery of Western Australia, Perth; Yuz Museum, Shanghai; Hayward Gallery, London; the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York.
