About Hansel Beckmann

I enjoy working through seemingly impossible problems, sometimes methodically, sometimes through completely unconventional approaches. But more than anything, I love that everyday is a new problem and a new chance to learn something new. I have excellent analytical skills, and the in-depth knowledge of the field to complement them. I approach a problem by first taking a step back, identifying the potential problems that arise from every different type of design, and work through the option that seems most efficient, immediately and long-term. Although being an independent engineer, I enjoy working in a team dynamic. I enjoy the certain social aspect that structural engineering often requires. We are responsible for working closely with architects and contractors, encompassing hundreds if not thousand of people to complete the designs we draft on paper. And thus, my goal as an engineer is to always help the client to achieve their wildest dreams in a manageable, economic, and safe manner.
