WORK HISTORY
Data Science Intern @Idxexchange
As a Data Science Intern at IDX Exchange (Remote, Summer 2025), I worked on building and evaluating machine learning models to predict home prices using historical real estate transaction data obtained via CoreLogic’s Trestle API. I was responsible for end-to-end data processing, including data ingestion, cleaning, feature engineering, and exploratory data analysis using Python libraries such as pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn.I developed and compared several regression models, including Linear Regression, Random Forest, and XGBoost, selecting the optimal one based on evaluation metrics like R-squared and Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE). My work helped identify the most accurate and interpretable approach for estimating property values.I regularly participated in team meetings and presented my progress and modeling strategies to data scientists and mentors, receiving constructive feedback that helped improve my modeling pipeline. In addition, I contributed to internal documentation outlining best practices to ensure model reproducibility and facilitate future development.Technologies used: Python, pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, XGBoost, Jupyter Notebook, Git, REST APIs (CoreLogic Trestle)
