About Hannon Ayer
I currently work on ultrafast amplifiers for Spectra Physics in Santa Clara. My work allows me to learn about advanced optical systems and develop my deep interest in that field. I am a 2017 Graduate of Oberlin College with honors in Physics. During my time at Oberlin I worked in a research lab every semester and ran cross country and track all four years. My honors work was on atomic spectroscopy of potassium using an optical frequency comb. I was responsible for the full process of experimental set up and operation as well as data analysis. The honors thesis that I wrote on this work is available at http://new.oberlin.edu/arts-and-sciences/departments/physics/documents/projects/honors/Ayer%20Thesis%202017%20Final.pdf. My foremost interests in physics are lasers and optics.
