ABOUT HANNES K.
Being one of 14 students ever to graduate with two master degrees from KTH Royal Institute of Technology within two years of study, is one of the crazy things I have done so far. It was also pretty insane to hold an inspirational speech about the modern data stack in front of 100 professionals at a meetup after working for less than a year in the field.Breadth is my specialty, being able to see the bigger picture and work across the full product/model life cycle leveraging skills in applied AI, machine learning, software engineering and analytics engineering. In particular, I have a profound background within NLP/LLMs/RAG and I have built agentic AI systems at scale using the latest cloud services including Elastic, GCP (e.g. BigQuery, Vertex AI) and AWS (e.g. lambda functions, ECS, Bedrock, SageMaker, s3). I am also a team player, having contributed to a successful team in the world-wide NLP research competition ‘Amazon Alexa Prize’ and reaching the top 5. My areas of development are currently within finance and project management. Through studying psychology and neuroscience modules alongside my two masters, I recognise that insight into human behaviour is often crucial when working with AI. Therefore, I am also spending time to develop those skills further.Off work, I like to travel new places around the globe.
