I am a tax attorney who advises individuals and businesses on a wide variety of tax issues. My interest in advising entrepreneurs led me to tax, and now I help clients structure and form all kinds of business enterprises, from startups to private investment funds to family office structures. I frequently advise clients on issues related to qualified small business stock and have extensive experience advising, speaking and writing about qualified opportunity funds. I also work frequently in the M&A space, helping clients restructure existing entities and representing buyers and sellers of closely-held companies. Prior to joining Day Pitney, I advised high net-worth individuals at Andersen and now work closely with Day Pitney\'s world-class trusts and estates practice to assist our individual clients with their tax planning needs. I frequently assist individual clients with structuring their family entities, gifting partnership interests and responding to IRS inquiries.
