She has led the development of several FHWA studies and guidebooks on topics such as scenario planning, pedestrian/ bicycle accessibility, and public involvement; teaches transportation planning courses for the National Highway Institute; provides hands-on multimodal transportation planning assistance to State DOTs, Metropolitan Planning Organizations, and localities; and facilitates sustainable development planning initiatives for communities through programs such as the EPA Sustainable Communities Building Blocks program.
