ABOUT HANNAH MARKUS
I\'m committed to advancing equitable access to public health insurance as a cornerstone of a sustainable and functional health system. My work centers strengthening Medicaid and the Children\'s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) to reduce disparities in health outcomes. Driven by personal experiences watching loved ones struggle under the weight of unaffordable health care, I\'ve committed my professional experiences to eliminating cost and coverage barriers to health care to those who need it the most. I strive to ensure every U.S. resident can access the care they need to thrive. With six years of experience in health policy advocacy and analysis, I\'ve worked across federal and state government, as well as in the nonprofit sector, to develop and implement policies that expand access to public health insurance and care. My expertise includes Medicaid and CHIP policy, program evaluation, policy analysis, and stakeholder engagement—all of which I leverage to craft solutions that reflect the unique needs and priorities of the communities I serve.I\'m always eager to connect with those dedicated to achieving a more just society through health policy.
