Co-developed Nextdoor’s public policy and government relations function, monitoring government action on content moderation, algorithmic amplification, product marketplace liability, and privacy in the US (state & federal), UK, and EU • Guide the research, development, operational implementation, and measurement for all platform policies across 11 countries, including drafting generative AI principles and assuming primary responsibility for monetization integrity efforts • Serve as subject matter expert and escalation point for investigations and communications for policy issues, and marshal company responses to external human-caused disasters and crises • Steer complex cross-functional projects in partnership with Product, Engineering, Trust & Safety, Data Science, and Comms (e.g. leading election program; founding member of AI Ethics Committee; co-drafting and publishing Nextdoor\'s Transparency Reports) • Led four employee resource groups, launched and formalized Nextdoor’s process for donating media to NGOs, and won company-wide Values Award
