Highly motivated Chartered environmental professional with 22 years of consultancy and leadership experience, both in the UK and Australia. My core technical area is Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and I have a strong understanding of:• environmental constraints and associated management to mitigate risk; • analysis of threats and opportunities in the consenting process;• logistics and management requirements of multidisciplinary technical teams; • information requirements and attention to detail for the preparation of high quality fit for purpose technical documents for submission to government departments for review and approval; and,• effective engagement strategies for both internal and external stakeholders. I have been the EIA Technical Lead for numerous large multi-disciplinary EIA and planning projects across a number of sectors including: power, renewables (CHP and wind), infrastructure, the built environment sector (residential, commercial and mixed-use) and the Oil & Gas sector. I also have experience in project level Sustainability Appraisal (SA); Environmental Sustainable Design assessments, including resource efficiency in design; Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA); Environmental Due Diligence (EDD); and Management Systems. Key skills include:• Business leadership developing strategy and effective engagement and communication to lead teams.• Project management of multidisciplinary environmental technical teams for the delivery of client project requirements including: programme, cost, resources, technical and quality management.• Technical review of deliverables prepared by multidisciplinary environmental technical teams to achieve regulatory approval under applicable legislative requirements.• Workshop facilitation and training, including interactive planning and sustainability workshops with client organisations and lecturing on EIA, environmental legislation and policy.• Analysis of environmental constraints and development of mitigation and management measures to achieve project environmental performance objectives, including risk management of the consenting process.• Collaborative working with multidisciplinary delivery teams, including client teams, to facilitate cross discipline appreciation and integration that is solution focused.• Comprehensive understanding of environmental regulatory and legal requirements from the global to the local level.
