ABOUT HANNAH LONG-HIGGINS
I am an award-winning journalist and filmmaker currently working as a Supervising Producer at the Chicago Council on Global Affairs. My films have been recognized by the White House News Photographers Association and the NLGA Association of LGBTQ Journalists, and my photographs have been published by the BBC, Seattle Weekly, Teen Vogue, and Al Jazeera. Through a 2017 Davis Project for Peace grant in Jordan’s Zaatari refugee camp I assisted Syrian refugee journalists in taking their original reporting into the digital space. I graduated from Columbia Journalism School in 2017 with an M.S. in Journalism.
