The Director of Education and Training is responsible for implementing the strategic goals of the coalition as defined by the Community Action Plan with a focus on the integration of both training and education within the community, directing the efforts related to all funding sources and developing sustainability beyond the current funding sources. Supervisory Responsibilities:The Director of Education and Training will take the lead in all training/education opportunities and oversee any volunteers, staff, or community members working toward implementing the strategic goals of the coalition. Duties/Responsibilities:• Conducts training/education opportunities related to all DFD strategies in the community• Develops training and development programs and objectives.• Maintains and /or develops effective training materials related to DFD strategies• Trains and coaches others involved in training/education opportunities• Plans, organizes, facilitates training events• Develops and maintains organizational communications related to education/training events. • Conducts follow-up activities of all completed training to evaluate and measure results.• Modifies programs as needed.• Exemplifies the desired culture of DFD in the community• Works effectively as a team member with other staff and community members of DFD
