About Hannah Giammona

I am currently a first-year Pharm.D. student (P1) at the University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy with a strong interest in the pharmaceutical industry. I earned my undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University, where I gained valuable hands-on experience working at the Texas A&M Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital Pharmacy in College Station, TX.Through my role as a student pharmacy technician, I developed a solid foundation in pharmaceutical practice, medication management, and patient care. These experiences sparked my interest in the broader impact of pharmaceuticals beyond direct patient care, particularly in areas such as industry, research, and medical strategy. My academic training, combined with practical experience, has equipped me with the knowledge and drive to pursue a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree as well as contributing meaningfully to the pharmacy profession.

   Industry Pharmacists Organization

   As the Social Chair of the Industry Pharmacists Organization (IPho) at The University of Texas at Austin, I plan and coordinate events that foster community and networking among pharmacy students interested in careers in the pharmaceutical industry. In this role, I collaborate with the executive board to organize engaging social and professional events, manage event logistics and promotion, and create opportunities for students to connect with peers who share an interest in industry pharmacy. My goal is to strengthen student involvement while helping build a supportive and collaborative environment for those exploring careers beyond traditional pharmacy paths.
