ABOUT HANNAH EHLER

Highly driven, bilingual, graduate of a self-designed degree in urban planning/international development. I have particular interests in place-making that combats social isolation, equitable and affordable housing, co-operative models, social finance and interactive art. Over five years of non-profit and co-operative experience has kept me grounded in community, working across food security, youth engagement, housing, and politics. Simultaneously, my relationships and recognition of my work has graciously brought me to high-level offices and experiences. I have extensive experience in leadership and project development (team management, working with stakeholders, building plans and timelines), advocacy (speaking professionally with media and elected officials, mobilizing youth for collective messaging and action) and accessible graphic design/communications. Centring the human experience is at the core of everything I do.Creativity gives me my spark, and collaboration sustains it. I seek to break down silos (across sectors, for example) wherever I can and firmly believe that empathy and design-thinking can lead to a better world. I don\'t think effective solutions always have to be invented - meaningfully empowering work that is already happening can be just as innovative. Intentionality and intersectionality are key problem-solving tools.I have personal passions for public speaking and dance, am trying to improve my cooking and love learning from people - at conferences, webinars, through Ted Talks.
