I help businesses, charities and academic institutions protect and unlock the value of their IP. My focus is on making IP work strategically - whether that means safeguarding ownership, supporting growth through commercialisation, or reducing risk in complex transactions. I support clients with the full spectrum of IP agreements and transactions - from assignments, licences, collaborations, franchising and sponsorship deals, to IP issues arising in M&A, joint ventures and investments. I also advise on IP ownership and licensing within corporate group structures. I offer significant experience of research collaborations and other academic IP issues, having been seconded to manage the IP and technology transfer function at a UK university.
