ABOUT HANNAH NEWEY
I am currently working as a Senior Engineering Geologist at OTB Engineering and I am acting Chair for the Early Careers Group of the Engineering Group of the Geological Society. I am a Chartered Geologist with ten years’ experience in the civil engineering industry specialising in ground engineering. I have held key responsibilities in several sectors including water, energy and highways, with experience in procurement and supervision of ground investigations and monitoring, analysing ground investigation data using HoleBASE SI and interpreting data, production of reports and specification documents in accordance with a variety of client and international standards, including British Standards, Eurocodes, and Highways England. Previous roles included Lead Geologist for the Principal Contractor on site for the York Potash Project and Project Manager for OTB’s Quarry Projects throughout the UK.
