About Hannah Rose

My decision to pursue a career in education was fueled by my own personal and educational experiences. Living and being educated in various places, including North Carolina, Haiti, Belize, and New Hampshire, opened my eyes to world-wide disparities in education and the systemic oppression that is reinforced through various institutions and society. This sparked a passion and deep commitment to equity and the dismantling of systems built on white privilege, and led me to study education in college. I graduated with honors at the top of my class in Elementary Education, with a special emphasis of study in Early Childhood. Since then, I have taught and lead at various schools across the nation, including the nationally awarded Blue Ribbon School, Success Academy- Harlem 1, directed an intensive summer program for children in grades k-4 focusing on SEL, written, developed and implemented reading intervention plans for ELL students, led professional development sessions on effective classroom management techniques focusing on responsive classroom practices, and worked hand in hand with middle and high school educators and administrators, coaching them on how to implement and differentiate an iPad-based literacy platform in their classrooms and schools. I am deeply committed towards providing all children with a world class education, inspiring a love of learning and questioning, and cultivating a deep commitment to using our voices towards the eradication of social injustices everywhere.
