Investigating the effect of hypoxia on IFN-beta protein production in cancer cells as a function of radiation treatment dose to activate an anti-cancer immune response- Cell culturing and cryopreservation of MCC13 cell lines as well as counting and imaging analysis- Measuring IFNb protein expression levels by performing ELISA assay, review data to present significance of results - Analyzing data from trials under chronic hypoxia in comparison with data from trials performed under normoxic conditions to identify significance- Investigating potential correlations between hypoxia related pathways (HIF1A, HIF2A, FIH) and DNA sensing pathways (cGAS/IFI16/STING) under chronic hypoxia- Performed a transfection study using lipofectamine transfection reagent to add DNA into OSCA8, OSCA32, and MCC13 cell lines to perform radiation treatment; collected data on cell count and protein expression levels via extraction and analysis of supernatant using ELISA assay.
