ABOUT HANNAH RICHEY
I graduated summa cum laude from St Olaf College in 2024 with a B.A. in Mathematics and Environmental Studies with a natural science focus. I feel very passionately about environmental conservation and encouraging equity and inclusion in mathematics and general STEM education. I try to bring this passion into my every day work as an Environmental Scientist at TRC Companies, inc.At TRC, I am part of the planning, permitting, and licensing team focused on work in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. I have experience preparing applications for SEPA, NEPA, and local environmental permits. My day to day can include anything from conducting desktop analysis for possible environmental constraints for projects, writing wetland reports, compiling work summaries for clients to going out in the field to assist with wetland delineations and habitat assessments. As an aspiring lead wetland delineator, with the support of my company, I have completed multiple trainings to boost my expertise such as the Wetland Training Institute\'s Basic Wetland Delineation Course, and Washington State Department of Ecology\'s Coastal Training Program PNW Plant ID course and their Ordinary High Water Mark Identification in Western Washington course.Outside of my primary work as an environmental scientist, I coach the Holy Names Academy Dive team during the fall season.
