Event Marketing Manager - Cisco Live @Cisco

As part of the core client team I have played an integral part in the success of the IT industry\'s leading event - Cisco Live - in EMEAR since 2016.In that time we have grown the event from ten thousand to eighteen thousand attendees and developed the program to encompass a bigger educational program, more complex engagements and a wider scope for participant interactions. A recent participant described it as \'Burning Man for geeks\'. and it has been tremendously rewarding to work on this award winning event. My responsibilities have included increasing the networking opportunities for participants by providing physical environments, tools and programs at the live event and for those attending online. Working with the DevNet team to develop their event zone and expand their offering. Managing the Meet the Executive Program. Introducing and managing a communication stream with first time participants to ensure effective use of their time and increasing the explorer program to increase attendance and build loyalty with an historically less committed audience.It is a busy project but I relish the opportunity of working with worldwide stakeholders, managing numerous work streams and overseeing the complex onsite operations.The 2021 event has switched to a digital experience and I am project managing the Day 1 broadcast. We aim to provide an engaging, educational and entertaining show crossing over 2 broadcast channels to two different audience personas. Working with the design team I have created a look book to ensure the Cisco Live brand is consistently shown throughout the event, set up operational processes for speaker teams to work towards and engaging with the leadership team to create key content. Alongside of that we are creating items to inspire, delight and celebrate our audience; guest speakers, health and well being breaks, brain teasers, customer spotlights, Cisco stories and musical entertainment.
