ABOUT HANNAH REES

I started working with Children and Young People in 2015 when I accepted a job offer as a Bank support worker in a newly opening residential for young people aged 12-18. I started my first shift and within a few hours it all became very clear - I had found my career path! I always knew I wanted to work with Children I just hadn\'t found in what area whether it be in a nursery or school etc and never even considered teenagers at this point! I continued to work full time supporting children in a residential setting and I loved every minute until being made redundant in 2017. This hit quite hard so I took a year out and tried something different where I became an operating theatre assistant in the local private hospital. This was an amazing experience that I will always be grateful for but i always felt myself drawn to looking for jobs to get back into the social care sector. In 2018 I applied for a temp role at FABRIC - the position of assitant co-ordinator gave me the balance of admin work and still being involved in supporting our FABRIC Kids. The one year position got extended as we opened up a second home and within the year I was promoted into a managerial position. 2026 is the year of change and making more of a difference. I have started the year in a new job within a new company called TIFA Life who support a range of vulnerable young people. I had lost my passion for the role last year but this new role has definitely given me a new lease of life and I\'m excited to see what 2026 brings I have also completed my NVQ Level 3 in CYP and Level 5 in Management through ACT Training and am currently looking into what course I can get my teeth stuck in to next
