ABOUT HANNAH QUIWA

If there’s one thing, my family, my friends, my former classmates and coworkers, would all agree about me is that I am passionate. I am very passionate to learn new things. I was born in the Philippines and grew up in Thailand. After moving to another country at the age of 8, I’ve learned that adapting to my environment is what I’m best at. Of course, that meant I had to learn everything I could, whether it is the language, the culture or traditions. It was without a doubt, tough and challenging but great because it is how I make progress. Throughout my life, I’ve always sought new challenges to improve myself. At the age of 16, I volunteered for “Able the Disabled” where my patience and self coordination were challenged while I worked with disabled children and horses. Throughout 4 years of doing my bachelor\'s degree, I’ve worked different part-time jobs as a translator, camp facilitator, waitress and event organiser. I’ve attained numerous and very distinct skills from each job experience. I never stopped looking for opportunities to improve my skills and my knowledge. At 22, I was blessed to land my first job as the Assistant PR & Marketing Manager of a luxury group of hotels in the famous Pattaya City. The job came with unpredicted challenges but it provided me with new skills I never thought I’d acquire in such a short period of time. I was constantly challenged to stay creative yet collaborative while working on what others wanted, whether it is the customer\'s demand, other departments\' requests or my manager\'s provided tasks. My time there also boosted my interest in social media marketing and enhanced my photography and videography skills which used to be just a hobby to me. In 2022, I\'ve moved to the UK and a year later graduated my master\'s degree at UWE. This gave me a better understanding of the business world and its beauty on a deeper level. Moving across the globe to pursue another degree has also increased my resilience and many other soft skills. In which now I used in my current role as Internal Communications Executive. The world of Internal Communications is still fresh and new to me and I hope throughout this journey, I continue to learn, grow and meet amazing people all over the world.
