ABOUT HANNAH OLSEN
Hannah A. Olsen is a hardworking, passionate law 1L student at the University of Utah SJ Quinney College of Law. She is a previous graduate from Weber State University in Ogden, Utah. Hannah completed eight undergraduate degrees at WSU, including graduating with High Honors with Bachelors of Science degrees in Criminal Justice, Psychology, and Finance, minoring in legal studies. She also graduated with her Master of Education with an emphasis in Higher Education Leadership as an outstanding graduate with a 4.0 GPA. She aspires to continue her education further with an LLM and/or Ph.D. Throughout her time at WSU, she has been involved with countless groups/clubs/organizations including being three clubs\' president, and a student-body-elected Vice President twice. She has had transformational opportunities to get out into the community via internships and over service hours, primarily dedicated to facilitating civic engagement in her area. Hannah competed in the Miss America Scholarship Organization and placed Top 12 at Miss Utah in 2021 with her Social Impact Initiative \"Understand US to Activate: Civic Engagement through Service.\" Through this Hannah was able to propagate her mission of providing service opportunities to young people so they are able to see, and become passionate about areas in their community that need assistance, sparking them to be empowered, impassioned, and involved voters. She has been an intern/fellow at the SLC Office of US Senator for Utah Mitt Romney, the United Nations Office of Human Rights Education, the 2nd District Court Judges DiReda and Bean, WSU Admissions, WSU Legal Counsel, Utah Governor Spencer Cox\'s Legal Counsel and IGNITE National. Additionally, Hannah served on the SLC Youth Outreach Committee, directed out of Utah Valley University, that brought the United Nations Civil Society Conference to Utah for the first time in 2019, where she then served as a panelist. Hannah is an intellectually curious advocate, student, researcher, and leader who has dreams to fight for justice and representation in our democratic system. Her interests include international, intellectual property, criminal, constitutional, human rights, environmental, education and corporate law as well as local to international politics, and interdisciplinary research and advocacy in the previously mentioned legal areas, anti-discrimination/antiracism, feminism/gender equity, education, and neuroscience/psychology. Hannah is a fierce defender of the preservation of fundamental human rights and the efforts to create a safe space for all.
