About Hannah Nelson
I am a project manager and engineer at Kimley-Horn currently working on several complex, large-scale transit projects across the country. I have a passion for the problem solving and multi-disciplined teamwork required on complex LRT, BRT, freight rail, passenger rail, and roadway projects. My project experience ranges from planning/concept level all the way through final design and while my focus is track and civil design, I have touched almost every discipline including roadway, traffic, systems, environmental, drainage, and structures. My work has included design, cost estimation, constructability, concept/planning, specification writing, and task management. I joined Kimley-Horn in 2015 in the Twin Cities office after graduating from University of Virginia with a B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering. I have since moved to the Seattle office as of December 2020.
