As a member of Brockton’s Student Services Team, I provide counselling, SEL education, and inclusive care for JK–12 students. I collaborate closely with teachers, families, and external professionals to support student mental health, learning differences, and previously post-secondary planning. I also offer clinical supervision and deliver professional development to promote a trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming school culture.Key Responsibilities:• Provide personal counselling to students in Grades JK–12, supporting emotional regulation, identity, anxiety, and social challenges• Facilitate classroom-based psychoeducation on SEL topics such as social skills, wellbeing, and mental health• Co-coordinate and teach Body Science programming for elementary students• Collaborate with faculty and families to address student needs, including ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and complex learning profiles• Formerly delivered post-secondary advising for Grades 9–12, offering guidance on academic planning, career exploration and transitions• Co-organize guest speakers & events on mental health, socio-emotional learning and more• Deliver professional development on topics such as trauma-informed practice, disordered eating, NSSI, and inclusive education• Respond to crises and provide support to students and families during difficult or serious events• Co-sponsor the Student Mental Health & Wellbeing Leadership Team, which runs school-wide wellness initiatives• Supervise and mentor counselling practicum students, providing clinical guidance and reflective practice
