ABOUT HANNAH MCATEE

I am a CIMA qualified accountant and have worked for the BBC for the past 18 years of which 14 years have been in a senior position. During this time I have worked mainly in the Financial Reporting (FR) Team. The main purpose of the FR team is to prepare the monthly Executive Finance Reports, consolidate and review financial forecasts and budgets and to prepare the financial elements of the BBC’s Annual Report and Accounts. My role within the FR team covers a wide scope of responsibilities including cash management, efficiencies reporting and audit, licence fee modelling and ownership of the central contingencies and Group Ledger divisions alongside leading a team of accountants/assistant accountants and students. I am also the Divisional Financial Controller for Licence Fee Unit on alongside my FR duties, responsible for the divisions financial reporting.
