ABOUT HANNAH MARR
With a strong foundation in biological research, interdisciplinary environmental studies, statistical modeling and geospatial data visualization, I have experience conducting field- and lab-based scientific research, analyzing complex datasets, and building predictive models. My research background involves writing an Honors Thesis on the evolutionary origins of a unique courtship communication system in the Lebinthini tribe of crickets, resulting in a publication in the Journal of Experimental Biology.Additionally, I led research projects at Invaio Sciences, where I conducted insect, plant, and bacterial-based assay development, as well as managed experimental workflows and streamlined data pipelines. My recent Masters in Data Analytics has focused on geospatial data analytics and solidified my strong interest in applying my experience to wildlife conservation within human-altered landscapes, with a focus on land management to increase habitat connectivity and reduce risk at the human-wildlife interface, utilizing the inferences made possible by GIS and remote sensing.
