ABOUT HANNAH TOLENTINO
I currently serve as President of the Saitsa Students’ Association, a student-led, non-profit organization representing over students at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. In this role, I work closely with student leaders, staff, and institutional partners to strengthen governance, advocate for student interests, and support initiatives that meaningfully improve the student experience. My work focuses on accessibility, equity, and ensuring student perspectives are genuinely reflected in decision-making. I am especially interested in building systems that are transparent, inclusive, and responsive to the communities they serve.Alongside my role with Saitsa, I also serve as a student member of the SAIT Board of Governors, contributing to high-level discussions around institutional accountability, long-term strategy, and alignment between student needs, academic priorities, and organizational goals.Academically, I am currently studying Software Development at SAIT, building on previous studies in Political Science and Philosophy at the University of Calgary. This interdisciplinary background shapes how I approach problems by combining technical thinking with policy insight, ethics, and systems-level analysis.I am motivated by the intersection of technology, leadership, and public service, and I care deeply about creating practical, sustainable improvements that have meaningful impact for students and the broader community.
