ABOUT HANNAH LINDSELL
Clinical Trial Manager, Clinical Research Associate, Research Fellow, HPL Lecturer and PhD Candidate specialising in gastrointestinal research, specifically IBS and IBD. Member of the UK Trial Management Network (UKTMN) and British Society of Gastroenterology (BSG).As a Clinical Trial Manager at the University of Nottingham, I lead a data-driven primary care IBD trial on PPI withdrawal, overseeing study and PIC site set up, GCP complicance and multi-site delivery.As a Clinical Research Associate, I coordinate gastrointestinal clinical MRI trials at the Sir Peter Mansfield Imaging Centre and NIHR Clinical Research Facility, managing imaging data, advanced analysis (MIPAV, ITK-SNAP), breath testing (Gastrogenius) and trial data (Medidata Rave EDC). Collaborating with industry partners, managing data and ensuring project success within the School of Medicine.My PhD at NTU and Clinical Research Fellowship at NUH NHS Trust focuses on disorders of the lower gastrointestinal tract and gut-brain interaction. Specifically the therapeutic effects of physical activity on IBS and the gut microbiome, using mechanistic approaches such as metagenomic and metabolomic analysis. Conducted at NTU in partnership with the Nottingham Digestive Diseases Centre (NDDC) to inform clincal decision making and improve patient care.Alongside this research, I am an hourly paid Lecturer at NTU, teaching Exercise Physiology, Nutrition, Biomechanics and Bioscience.
