ABOUT HANNAH KHAN

I am a PhD Candidate in the Oncology Graduate Program (OGP) at the University of Pittsburgh in the Department of Radiation Oncology, working in the laboratory of physician-scientist Dr. Ravi Patel. I am focused on developing targeted radiopharmaceutical therapies for cancer treatment. More specifically, I study GD2-targeted antibody-based therapeutics including minibodies, diabodies, and scFvs to optimize tumor targeting and therapeutic efficacy, with the ultimate goal of advancing these approaches toward clinical translation and improving patient outcomes.I graduated with my BS and MS from North Dakota State University (2023 & 2024) in Biological Sciences, earning minors in French Studies and Microbiology. During my time at NDSU, I conducted research in Dr. Katie Reindl\'s lab studying oxaliplatin resistance in pancreatic cancer and served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for General Biology Lab I & II. I also completed an REU at the University of Vermont studying transcriptomic changes contributing to thermal tolerance in Drosophila melanogaster.I am a passionate and hardworking researcher driven by the goal of improving patient survival and quality of life through translational cancer research.
