ABOUT HANNAH KELMAN
Upon graduating summa cum laude from George Washington University with my BA in Political Science, I had accumulated over a year and a half of full-time, policy-oriented professional work experience.After matriculating into one of Washington, D.C.\'s top-10 lobbying firms upon graduation, I developed my advocacy and policy expertise across a range of health policy issues. I have championed legislation for health care access to uterine fibroid treatment — quadrupling cosponsorship of a bill in the House — and crafted long-term care policy for coalitions. At Sirona Strategies, I had the privilege of being a lead lobbyist on health care quality measures and engaging with the White House and other policymakers on social determinants of health. I enjoyed rallying lawmakers from heartland states to agree on common policy goals, and I got my first glimpse into planning multi-day conferences and events for over 300 attendees. Now, I’m using my skills to work with CMS to protect federal health programs.
