University Mental Health Charter Assessor @Student Minds
The University Mental Health Charter Award is a voluntary accreditation scheme that recognises those universities that demonstrate excellent practice in mental health and wellbeing. The role of the Assessment Team is to- Evaluate a written Self-Assessment document and supporting evidence submitted by the university- Identify any additional information or evidence needed to support your understanding of the university’s approach to mental health and wellbeing- Compile agendas for meetings with university staff and students during the on-site visits- Facilitate reflective discussions with panels and focus groups of university staff and students during the onsite visit- Identify excellent practice and areas for development in the university’s approach and make recommendations for improvement- Write a report summarising findings, excellent practice, areas for development and risk and recommendations for improvement- Agree the university’s overall Award outcome- Undertake follow-up activities as required. For example, reviewing any documents where universities have not achieved the Award but have been offered a light-touch reassessment to achieve the Award within 12-months, as required.
