I have the privilege of investigating firefighter health and wellness along with their perceptions of COVID-19. I am using qualitative analysis to investigate themes from the interviews of 30+ firefighters, leaders, and clinicians. Lastly, I am examining how to best disseminate scientific health research to the first-responder community.

ABOUT HANNAH HUTCHINSON
I’m a senior Honors student at the University of Tampa studying Psychology with a passion for mental health, research, and human flourishing!I am currently completing my Honors Thesis, supported by the Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) and the Office of Undergraduate Research and Inquiry (OURI) Grant, which explores how inspirational music, spiritual transcendence, and personality traits like Openness to Experience intersect among college students.My research interests focus on promoting post-traumatic growth among first responders and veterans, understanding the role of religion and spirituality in psychotherapy, and exploring pathways to self-actualization. Beyond research, I work as a Career Ambassador Intern with the University of Tampa\'s Office of Career Services. I guide students in resume building, interview preparation, and major or career exploration. This role has strengthened my mentorship and collaboration skills by assisting peers in navigating their professional paths and life after UTampa. I’m excited to apply my skills in positive psychology research, assessment, and mentorship to make a meaningful impact in both research and clinical settings!
