With over 12 years’ experience working across the construction sector, I have spent my career supporting contractors, subcontractors and project teams on a wide range of projects. This has given me a strong understanding of how construction projects operate on site and behind the scenes, as well as the coordination required between commercial, operational and site teams to deliver successful outcomes.Alongside my professional experience, I am currently studying the BTEC Level 3 in Construction and the Built Environment at Leeds College of Building, where I achieved distinctions in my first completed unit. Through this I am developing a deeper technical understanding of construction principles, materials, construction technology, health & safety practices and digital tools such as Revit and Autodesk software.My background working closely with construction businesses has provided valuable insight into procurement processes, subcontractor coordination, tender preparation, project documentation and the commercial pressures involved in delivering projects successfully. These experiences have given me strong transferable skills in organisation, stakeholder communication, negotiation and project coordination.I am particularly interested in the commercial and project delivery side of construction, including areas such as procurement, commercial support and cost management, and am keen to continue developing my knowledge and experience within these areas as I progress through my studies.I’m always open to connecting with others across the construction industry to share knowledge, learn from different areas of the sector and continue developing my understanding of how projects are delivered.
