Current:#Aspiring Leaders Programme 2026 Cohort - developing inclusive leadership skills. Leeds City Council\'s Culture Programmes team - supporting the creative sector through leading on our Culture Strategy, policy, funding and creative development initiatives. My role includes relationship management and policy interests in Creative Health, Creative Ageing and Inclusive Arts as well as Lead Contact at place for WYCA\'s You Can Make It Here Programme - development and support for freelancers/graduate creatives in Leeds. I am key LCC contact for supporting the development of the National Poetry Centre.I sit on the Management Committee for LAHWN - Leeds Arts Health and Wellbeing Network and am an Advisory Board member (Health & Wellbeing specialism) for Leeds Cultural Education Partnership - Leeds33. Key skills: Policy development, relationship management, facilitation, horizon-scanning, writing and ideas analysis, grants assessment, project management, people management and leadership, fundraising and budget management, seed-funding new ideas and collaborations. Previous: extensive arts project management, including delivering on European-funded outcomes - establishing networks focused on the role of culture in enabling people to lead fulfilling lives; particularly older people. Creative programmer, commissioner and strategic lead for culture for Leeds Libraries. Find Your Talent Locality Co-ordinator (national pathfinder funded by Arts Council England and managed by CCE)- developing cultural education initiatives across Leeds and supporting children and young people to access creative opportunities in and out of education. National role with Save The Children as a facilitator and trainer and have over 10 years experience of delivering participatory arts experiences as a drama artist and project manager, including 6 months in Ghana, West Africa - using drama and puppetry to support HIV/AIDS education in communities.About me: A reformed traveller, I love international conversations and finding ways to communicate across difference; particularly intercultural conversations. I love creative writing as a form of self-expression. I\'m a reader, dancer, wonky knitter, keen baker, nature lover and walk everywhere I can. I manage a long term health condition and creativity is at the heart of my coping strategies.
