About Hannah Escandon
Hannah Escandon is a fourth-year journalism and international affairs combined major, with an interest in breaking stereotypes and accurately representing people around the world through documentary film. She is currently a student researcher and news producer for the Reinventing Local TV News Research Project, working with the WCBS-TV New York team. In 2024, she was awarded two Student Emmys from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences for her documentary work. Additionally, she served as an intern for the Baha’i International Community’s United Nations Office where she published articles and produced a video. After graduation, her goal is to continue reporting abroad, uplifting the voices of overlooked communities and covering the impacts of conflict.
