ABOUT HANNAH BIGNELL

I moved to VWV in August 2022 in the role of a Corporate Solicitor in the Corporate & Charities team and I am particularly focused on the educations sector. I qualified as a Corporate Solicitor at Fieldfisher LLP in September 2020. I mainly worked on M&A transactions, mainstream private company work and employee ownership transitions. I am currently a Trustee on the board of the Matthew Hackney Foundation. I was an Executive Committee member for the Junior Lawyers Division for England & Wales for 2 years (2019 to 2021). In my role, I focused on understanding and improving the mental wellbeing of junior lawyers. I also led a fundraising 30 Day Challenge to raise funds for Refuge UK and we were able to raise over £8,500 in 2021. During my Training Contract I sat in Finance (Securitisaton and Financial Regulation), Employment and Corporate. I have really enjoyed my training contract so far, in particular my seats in Employment and Corporate departments. I have completed the LPC LLM at University of Law in Moorgate with a distinction. I have enjoyed working in practice as a paralegal at JP Morgan and Macfarlanes and have gained an insight into Financial Services Regulation over the last few years. Studying Law at Kent has enhanced my passion and my drive towards have a legal career.
