From a young age, I had a deep fascination with drawing, art and clothes! I would spend countless hours creating and immersing myself in the world of textures and styles. My childhood hobby evolved into a burning passion for clothing and fashion trends. Then as I pursued my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, I realized the potential to merge my artistic creativity with the business side of the fashion world. My academic journey laid the foundation for what would become an exciting career path.Throughout my career, I\'ve had the privilege of working with renowned brands and contributing significantly to their success. As a Senior Buyer at T&C Surf Designs in Honolulu, I managed a diverse portfolio of men\'s apparel. By strategically selecting high-demand merchandise and negotiating advantageous vendor agreements, I play a pivotal role in growing the business.My experience extends to women\'s apparel as well, where I served as a Buyer at Zumiez. There, I thoughtfully curated assortments and managed open-to-buy for popular brands like Champion, Dickies, and FILA, across 614 locations. Collaborating with financial planners, I ensured efficient allocation of product and maximized sales.My commitment to mentorship is evident in my track record of guiding and mentoring colleagues, interns, and assistant buyers to excel in their roles. I\'m known for my ability to identify trends and translate them into successful sales strategies, as well as my knack for fostering strong relationships with vendors.
