ABOUT HANNA KIM
I am currently the Community Schools Volunteer Coordinator at the Office of Children and Families. Community Schools are a partnership among the City of Philadelphia, the School District of Philadelphia, school, and surrounding community. Through thoughtful community engagement and grassroots partnerships, the Community Schools model strives to provide students with a school environment that not only promotes learning, but also wellness, stability, and learning opportunities for the whole community. Being a good neighbor is at the forefront of everything I do. I am also passionate about food justice. I volunteer for the South Philadelphia Community Fridge by cleaning fridges and providing administrative support. I also founded the Asian Food Collective, a volunteer cooking group that provides culturally relevant meals in South Philly.
