ABOUT HANK BOWRY
Hank Bowry has over 30 years of experience in the Information Technology field. He has worked from the ground up, starting out building PC Clone’s for a local Richmond PC shop just after University. This experience, and the advent of affordable peer-to-peer networking technology led to opportunities as a systems administrator and network engineer for an IT Consulting firm in Richmond where he developed experience with all aspects of systems and network design and deployment through the 1990’s. In 2001, through a friend in the Peace Corps, an opportunity presented itself to take his expertise to West Africa. He became the technical lead for an IT digital divide initiative designed to establish internet access, and provide email, local web content, and computer training centers throughout Senegal. Following his return, Hank continued working as an IT consultant while founding and managing a residential remodeling company. For the last ten years Hank has focused principally on Information Security, conducting assessments, managing projects, and directing operations to stem the swelling tide of cyber threats.0
