Lead, manage & coordinate the project activities for Sensitive VIP within the OPS. Manage relationships, make presentation, communicate technical information to non-technical parties and to establish effective working relationships among I & IT management, clients & other stakeholders and with staff. Provide technical advice, leadership, support, and assistance to a team of IT Support Officers, coordinating & participating in activities related to the development & support of Ministry IT standards and business systems, alongside contributing to the development and implementation of innovative technologies. Being responsible for conducting thorough reviews of IT systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Assist with the IT systems budget, aiding in the creation of business plans for the replacement, addition, or reduction of IT equipment, & preparing cost-benefit analyses for hardware, software, & maintenance for managerial review, as well as generating reports related to systems expenditures & utilization. Coordinate initiatives to ensure the integrity of Ministry & IT standards & policies, reducing redundancy, and enhancing communications through the proficient use of electronic technology. Keeping expertise up-to-date by reviewing technical literature will be essential. Lead and manage a team of 20+ technical resources and subject matter experts, providing technical guidance to executive clients. Coordinating and forming functional teams comprising colleagues within the ITS, external stakeholders, and service providers to successfully deliver both operational and project initiatives. Cultivating and maintaining strong client and colleague relations with the Team members, Minister, Deputy Minister, & Assistant Deputy Minister Offices through regular informal and formal meetings. Ensure that the team carries out operational work in alignment with service level agreements, policies, procedures, & strategic direction from senior management.
