ABOUT HANIEH AHMADI

I am a Materials Engineer with an MSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta, specialising in the mechanical behaviour, mechanical testing, and microstructural characterisation of metallic materials. My research experience focuses on high-entropy alloys, with particular emphasis on hydrogen embrittlement mechanisms and structure-property relationships.I have hands-on experience in advanced materials characterisation, including optical microscopy, SEM, XRD, EBSD, and FIB, and I am experienced in the interpretation and analysis of TEM data. I also have experience in mechanical testing of materials and metal additive manufacturing processes, including Directed Energy Deposition (DED) and Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF), as well as in analysing the influence of process parameters on microstructure and mechanical performance.I am interested in research and engineering roles involving advanced metallic materials, failure mechanisms, and materials design. Outside of my professional work, I play the piano, and music is an important part of my life. In addition, I have been a professional speed skater since childhood and now skate in my free time.
