The Canadian Women in Global Health Leadership Steering Committee provides national perspective, guidance, and expert strategic advice on the development and expansion of women’s global health leadership in Canada and bringing together Canadians of all genders and backgrounds to achieve gender equality. The Canadian Women in Global Health Leadership Steering Committee is committed to inclusion and diversity in all its dimensions, including diversity across geography, language, race, ethnicity, gender and sexuality, diverse abilities, Indigeneity, immigration status and other forms, reflecting Canada’s multicultural population including Indigenous peoples.The Steering Committee further works to enhance the profile of its initiatives, as well as the gender equality in global health leadership movement generally, across the country. It undertakes advocacy and education efforts, event planning, such as conference sessions, webinars, continuing education opportunities and networking mixers, as well as preparing and disseminating digital content and resources that aligns with its mandate.
