As a licensed attorney in the state of California and Washington D.C, Hani Habbas has a long-standing passion for justice and advocacy. Throughout his academic and professional career, Hani has demonstrated his dedication to serving underrepresented communities and providing mentorship and support to young people.As a UCLA student, Hani provided mentorship and tutoring to adolescents in the Watts and Crenshaw neighborhoods. He also interned for 30th District State Senator Martha Escutia, where he assisted with the Southeast Scholarship Program and College Conference. Additionally, while living in Dubai, Hani provided legal aid services to the most impacted and underrepresented communities.Hani\'s dedication to social justice extends beyond his professional pursuits, as evidenced by his volunteerism. Since 2016, he has served as a board member of the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) and currently serves as the Co-Chair for Community Outreach on the Orange County Bar Association\'s-Young Lawyer Division.Hani Habbas has strong relationships with several prominent leaders in Orange County, including Mayor Farrah Khan of Irvine, former Mayor Connor Trout of Buena Park, and former Mayor Vicente Sarmiento of Santa Ana. Hani played an active role in helping Vicente Sarmiento get elected as a Member of the Orange County Board of Supervisors by gathering volunteers to canvas communities and speaking with constituents. He also helped Benjamin Vazquez get elected as a council member for Santa Ana City Council Ward 2. These relationships demonstrate Hani\'s deep involvement in the political and civic life of the Orange County community.In addition to his professional and volunteer commitments, Hani also values the importance of spending time with family and friends.
