ABOUT HANAN EL-WANDI

As a passionate advocate for humanitarian action, migration, and equity, I am dedicated to creating meaningful change through policy, advocacy, and research. My journey in humanitarian work began at the British Red Cross, where I have spent two years supporting young refugees and asylum seekers, international family tracing, and leading innovative projects with the IFRC such as the Young Women and Girls project in the Diaspora Humanitarian Partnerships Programme. I have also worked alongside the ICRC and Red Cross Red Crescent Global Migration Lab to explore the crucial issue of missing women and children during migration journeys.
