Motivated by impact and change, Hananatu Tunis (Hana) strives to unlock and activate the potential of youth around the globe. With 7+ years of experience working in the non-profit setting with an emphasis in youth development, Public Relations, and fundraising, Hana has an accomplished track record of organizing and implementing sustainable development projects in vulnerable communities - from New York City to the most marginalized parts of Monrovia, Liberia. As an advocate for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, Hana works to eradicate period poverty and stigma in West Africa through her initiative, One Million Girls. With a ticket to Liberia and a suitcase full of period care supplies, Hana set out ten years ago with the mission to distribute as many supplies as possible, ensuring that no girl stays home from school because she doesn\'t have supplies. Today, the mission of One Million Girls has expanded to Nyankpala, Ghana, where more girls are getting access to free period care and education. Hana\'s passion for New York City youth landed her a home at SuitUp. As a Program Manager, Hana organizes and facilitates SuitUp’s in-person business competitions, bridging the gap between the corporate world and NYC youth and ensuring that \"all youth, regardless of age, gender, or socioeconomic status, has access to a seat at the corporate table.\"
