ABOUT HANAN ATHER

I am a Member of Technical Staff at the Centre for AI Research and Excellence (CAIRE) at Statistics Canada. I work on engineering and optimizing AI/ML systems deployed at scale in confidential-data settings, with end-to-end experience training, evaluating, and deploying ML products. My current focus is LLM evals, AI safety, and security.I work directly with federal partners to deliver effective technical solutions and tangible business outcomes. I am also a member of the Office of Responsible AI, where I lead technical reviews of AI systems across government and contribute to AI frameworks and governance guidance for UNECE & G7 GovAI.
