Every day, I get to dive deep into these areas, working hands‑on to make sure things run smoothly underground.Currently, I’m a Tunnel Engineer at Gall Zeidler Consultants, where I’m part of a global team that’s known for completing over 300 miles of tunneling projects around the world.    Assigned to the Gateway Program – Palisades Tunnel project for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ).• Involved in all phases of construction at the Tonnelle Avenue Portal, including soldier pile and secant pile installation, portal excavation, shaft construction, and future TBM mining operations.• Created and maintain internal tracking systems for excavation rates, rock socket depths, concrete placement logs, casing lengths, and work progress.• Coordinate daily with contractors, field engineers, inspectors, and the RE team to ensure construction aligns with design specs and schedule.• Document site activities in detailed daily reports used for both internal reviews and T&M-based billing evaluations.• Support construction planning by identifying delays, organizing work sequencing, and ensuring key field data is available for decision-making.• Monitor installation quality and verify completed work through field measurements, photographs, and consistent follow-ups.
