As an Assistant General Counsel at the District of Columbia\'s Department of Energy and the Environment, provided legal advice and assistance to Department management and staff on the implementation, administration, and enforcement of the District\'s energy benchmarking, Building Energy Performance Standards, and Solar for All programs and on federal environmental and energy laws, regulations, and programs. Focused on FERC proceedings, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and climate mitigation programs as a staff attorney at the State Energy and Environmental Impact Center. In that role, developed and managed the Center\'s Health and Environmental Settlements Project. Project culminated with the publication of Looking Back to Move Forward: Resolving Health and Environmental Crises by the Environmental Law Institute in 2020. Edited the book and authored a chapter in the book on the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act. Previously, worked as a senior legislative assistant for then-Rep. Adam Schiff (CA) responsible for an issue portfolio that included energy, environmental, and transportation policy and as an institute fellow at the Georgetown Climate Center helping states decarbonize their power sectors. Clerked at U.S. Department of Transportation, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and U.S. Department of Justice during tenure at Georgetown University Law Center.
